Pop-Up at Paradiddle's Cafe
First PopUp at Paradiddles of the year! I’ll be there from 7:00 am to 1:30 pm the 3rd Friday and Saturday of each month through August, and this season I’m giving each PopUp its own color theme — starting off with an Easter-centered collection for this opening event. March’s PopUp is March 20 and 21. Come browse handmade stained-glass suncatchers, and panels in springtime colors, perfect for brightening windows or gifting for the holiday. I’ll have new pieces and a few limited specials, so hop by, say hello, and find something unique to celebrate the season!

The color theme for April will be Orange. There’s no special meaning behind the monthly colors—I wrote a bunch of color names on slips of paper, pulled them from a hat, and assigned them to each month in order—so orange happened to land in April. That means any stained glass pieces that include orange will be the centerpieces of my display at Paradiddles; I’m still digging through my inventory to see exactly what orange pieces I have, but whatever I find will all be brought to the pop-up. If you love warm, sunny tones or autumnal accents in glass, swing by to see the orange highlights in person. I will be there April 17 and 18.
Columbus Arbor Day Fair
Come see me at the Columbus Firemen's Park Pavilion for the Arbor Day Art, Craft, and Vendor Fair! Browse a variety of local vendors offering lovely handmade products, enjoy a festive spring atmosphere, and let the kids join in a few fun crafting activities. It’s a great way to celebrate spring in Columbus—stop by, say hello, and take home something special.

And the month of May, our color is purple. This one may take some reworking — purple doesn’t often come to mind for me, and I’m not sure why. It’s not that I dislike it; it simply doesn’t pop up as a go-to color in my palette. That makes this weekend’s work an intriguing challenge: I’m looking forward to exploring the many shades and moods of purple, experimenting with how it catches the light in suncatchers and brings depth to pieces. May dates are the 15th and 16th.

June dates will be a little different this year: I’m currently planning for Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21, from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM. I’ll be on vacation the week before, so I’m hoping these times will work, but we’ll see—June always gets so busy. Blue will be my color theme for the weekend, and I have to admit I do love blue. I may actually have too much blue.

With this pop-up we’ll be halfway through summer already—time flies and summer is never long enough, is it? I’m excited to introduce an unusual color for my stained glass pieces: pink. I adore pink, but it’s not used often in my work because pink and red glass tend to be pricier, which makes them less common in pieces. Still, I’m planning to make more items featuring a touch of pink—perhaps even a few playful pink elephants—to bring a bright, unexpected splash of color to your sunny days.
